Finlxo currently uses only essential cookies. We do not run advertising or third-party analytics cookies on this website. Stripe may set its own cookies when you open a payment page.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files stored by your browser when you visit a website. They can remember that you are signed in, keep a form secure, or help a payment provider detect fraud. Similar technologies, such as local storage and browser fingerprinting, can serve related purposes.
2. Essential cookies
These cookies are needed for the website to work. They cannot be switched off through a consent banner because the service cannot operate without them.
| Cookie | Set by | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| finlxo_session | Finlxo | Keeps you signed in and stores a CSRF token that protects forms against cross-site request forgery. | Session; removed when you close the browser or sign out. |
The session cookie is HTTP-only and SameSite=Lax. When the site is served over HTTPS it is also marked Secure. We store the CSRF token on the server, not as a separate tracking cookie.
3. Stripe cookies
Card payments are processed by Stripe. When you open a payment page or enter card details, Stripe may set cookies and collect device signals to prevent fraud and remember your payment session. These cookies are controlled by Stripe, not Finlxo.
Typical Stripe cookies include:
- __stripe_mid — a fraud-prevention identifier;
- __stripe_sid — a short-lived session identifier; and
- m — used by Stripe to distinguish devices and improve fraud detection.
Stripe's use of these cookies is described in the Stripe Privacy Policy. Finlxo does not control Stripe's cookies and cannot read the card data they help protect.
4. Analytics and advertising
We do not currently use Google Analytics, advertising pixels, social media trackers or cross-site behavioural advertising cookies. If we add analytics in the future, we will update this policy and, where required, ask for consent before setting non-essential cookies.
5. Managing cookies
You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings. If you block the Finlxo session cookie, you will not be able to sign in or use the wallet. Blocking Stripe cookies may prevent a card payment from completing.
- Most browsers let you view, delete and block cookies from the privacy or security settings.
- Private or incognito windows usually discard session cookies when you close the window.
- Stripe provides its own guidance on cookies in its privacy documentation.
6. Changes
If we introduce new cookies, we will update this page and the effective date. A material change will be announced in the wallet or by email before it takes effect.
