Frequently asked

Straight answers, before you ask twice.

Everything below describes how the account actually behaves: what it accepts, what it holds, when it pays out and what it will never ask you for.

Payments Wallets Verification Payouts
Who can open a Finlxo account?
Finlxo is open to individuals in supported countries who can complete an identity check. We currently accept applications from the United States, United Kingdom and Canada. The country you select during sign-up must match the identity document you provide.
What do I need to apply?
Your legal name, email address, phone number, date of birth, home address, a government-issued photo ID (front and back), and a selfie taken in the sign-up flow. You will also choose a username, password and security question.
How long does verification take?
Most reviews are completed within one business day. The dashboard shows whether your account is pending, verified or rejected. If a document is unclear, the rejection reason will say what needs to be corrected and you can resubmit.
Can I use Finlxo for my business?
Yes — freelancers, studios and small sellers use the same personal account. Finlxo does not currently offer company accounts, team seats or role-based permissions.

Payments

How do I receive a card payment?
Share finlxo.com/u/your-username. The payer enters an amount, picks USD, EUR or GBP, and completes the card step through Stripe. You can also prepare an amount yourself and send the resulting link. When Stripe confirms the charge, the payment appears in your activity and adds to that currency's balance.
Who chooses the amount and currency?
Either side can start. Your public payment page lets the payer choose both. You can also enter an amount and currency on your own receive page and share the prepared URL, which pre-fills the form for them.
What happens if a card is declined?
A declined attempt does not create a successful payment or change your balance. The payer sees an error in the card field and can try another card. Only a payment intent confirmed as succeeded by Stripe is recorded as completed.
Can a payment be refunded?
Refunds are handled with Stripe and reviewed by support. If a payment is refunded, its status in your activity changes to refunded and the amount is removed from the available balance. Contact support with the payment reference to start the conversation.
Is there a minimum payment?
The payment page enforces Stripe's minimum charge for the selected currency. Small test amounts below that minimum may be rejected by the card processor before a payment is recorded.

Wallets & balances

Which currencies can I hold?
US dollars (USD), euros (EUR) and British pounds (GBP). Each currency has its own wallet and its own balance. There is no multi-currency "converted" total, because conversion is not offered.
Do you convert between currencies?
No. A euro payment stays in your euro wallet. This avoids an exchange spread and keeps the amount you quoted equal to the amount you hold.
How is my available balance calculated?
For each currency: successful card payments, minus withdrawals that are pending approval, approved or completed. Rejected and failed withdrawals do not reduce the balance. A completed payout has already left the wallet, so it remains deducted.
Does my balance earn interest?
No. Finlxo is a payment wallet, not a savings or investment account. Balances do not earn interest and are not deposited with a bank as a savings product.
Is my balance insured?
Finlxo does not present balances as bank deposits and does not make a deposit-insurance claim. Card processing is provided by Stripe under its own terms; that is separate from any balance protection.

Verification

Why do I need to verify my identity?
Verification keeps the platform usable for legitimate payments and is required before a withdrawal can be requested. It also helps match the person receiving funds with the person named on the account.
What documents do you accept?
A government-issued photo ID — passport, driving licence or national ID card — photographed front and back, plus a selfie captured in the sign-up flow. Uploads must be JPEG or PNG and clearly readable.
What happens if my verification is rejected?
The dashboard shows the rejection reason. You can upload corrected documents from the resubmission page; the account returns to pending review. You do not need to create a new account.
Who can see my ID documents?
Only authorised administrators reviewing verification. Documents are not served from a public URL: the upload directory denies direct access and the viewing route checks the admin role before streaming a file.

Withdrawals

When can I withdraw?
Once your identity is verified and the wallet has an available balance. Withdrawals are reviewed manually because crypto transfers are irreversible, so a request moves through pending approval, approved and completed.
Which networks do you support?
Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH). Enter the destination address on the withdraw page and double-check it: a payout sent to the wrong address cannot be reversed.
What does a withdrawal cost?
Finlxo does not add a withdrawal fee. The blockchain network fee applies at the time of transfer, set by the network rather than by Finlxo.
How long does a payout take?
Review normally happens within one business day. Once approved, the on-chain transfer depends on network conditions. A completed request keeps its transaction hash so you can verify it independently.
What if my request is rejected?
The amount returns to your available balance and the reason appears on the request. Nothing is deducted for a rejected request. Fix the issue described, then submit a new request.

Security

Do you store my card number?
No. Card details are collected by Stripe's card field and never reach Finlxo's server. Finlxo stores a payment reference and the payment metadata needed to show the transaction.
How are passwords stored?
Passwords are stored as one-way hashes using PHP's password hashing API. Security answers for password recovery are hashed as well. No one at Finlxo can read your password.
How do I report a security issue?
Email security@finlxo.com with enough detail to reproduce the issue. Please do not access data that is not yours, and allow a reasonable window for a fix before public disclosure.

Account

How do I change my password?
Open Profile from the workspace menu and choose Change password. Enter your current password, then the new one twice. The change takes effect immediately.
What if I forget my password?
Use "Forgot password?" on the login page. Enter your email, then the answer to the security question you chose at sign-up. If the answer matches, you can set a new password.
How do I close my account?
Write to support from the email on the account. We will confirm the available balance and any pending payout before closing. Records required for legal or accounting purposes may be retained after closure.
Why is my account suspended?
Suspensions are used for suspected fraud, abuse, a failed review or a legal requirement. The login screen will say the account is suspended; contact support to ask about the next step. Access to funds is handled case by case and is not removed without a review.
